gener8tor Graduates 50th Startup from North Dakota Accelerators
Fargo, ND. - On Tuesday, Dec. 2 gener8tor hosted a Startup Showcase and Holiday Party in downtown Fargo to celebrate graduating 50 startups through one of its North Dakota programs since beginning operations in the state in 2022.
The evening event, which ran from 4:30pm to 7:30pm, featured pitches from 10 North Dakota startups that participated in its fall accelerators before a crowd of more than 200 community supporters, business leaders, civic leaders, visiting investors, state legislators and economic developers.
It was held at 110 N Broadway, inside the building previously used as the Scan Design storefront. The space was temporarily transformed into a holiday-themed jazz club. Arriving guests were greeted with drinks and live music from a jazz quartet.
The event also featured a video produced by gener8tor, during which the startup founders described their experience of going through the gener8tor North Dakota accelerator. For photos of the event, you can visit this link (download code 8946).
The Fall accelerators, called gener8tor North Dakota and gBETA Fargo, are made possible through a partnership between gener8tor and 50 South Capital, which manages the North Dakota Growth Fund.
Through this partnership gener8tor also operates a venture capital fund for North Dakota-based startups called gener8tor 1889 and a spring accelerator program called gBETA Grand Forks.
“What stood out to me on Tuesday was the passion and determination of the founders,” Said Rocky Schneider, Executive Director of Fargo’s Downtown Community Partnership. “These are people taking risks and building something for our community. When we support entrepreneurs, we strengthen the culture of Fargo and create a downtown where creativity and hard work can thrive.”
“I’ve worked closely with gener8tor for several years now and can attest how the partnership between the State Of North Dakota and gener8tor leadership to bring their programming here has been very fruitful,” said John Machacek, Chief Innovation Officer at the Greater Fargo Moorhead EDC. “The amount of private capital attained and attracted for startups has been amazing, but I also really appreciate gener8tor’s role in leveling up our region’s knowledge of and readiness for venture capital. Their addition into our ecosystem has been tremendous and I couldn’t be happier with their impact.”
“gBETA pushed me in all the right ways,” said Jessica Christopherson, Founder & CEO of Williston-based Bossin Hooks. Bossin Hooks graduated from gener8tor’s gBETA Fargo program Tuesday night. “I built a pitch deck I am proud of, made real connections with mentors and investors with amazing support every step of the way. The final showcase was beautiful, and I am proud to be part of the gener8tor community.

Josda’s AI-driven SaaS platform streamlines estate and trust settlement for executors, administrators, and their advisors. Settling an estate in the U.S. impacts over 3 million people each year, with each case typically taking 16 months and requiring about 570 hours (or more) of executor effort. Families frequently engage attorneys or CPAs at substantial cost—often amounting to 3–7% of estate value, translating to tens of thousands of dollars in fees. Josda transforms this overwhelming, error-prone process into a guided, automated, and transparent workflow, reducing the amount of time and money required to settle the estate while identifying benefits that otherwise would have been missed.

Dirt Dive improves soil health and nitrogen uptake in crops by boosting the microbiome with protozoa.
Protozoa are single-celled, microscopic organisms distinct from bacteria and fungi. Protozoa release excess nitrogen when they eat bacteria, and also maintain a population of plant-promoting bacteria by eating the “bad” ones. This increases growth and soil longevity, reduces reliance on chemicals, shortens time to crop maturity and improves farmers' returns. Dirt Dive is founded by Mustafa Fakhri who has an extensive background in bioscience, leaving a Research and Development role at Aldeveron to start Dirt Dive.
